Misfit Foods Sausages

Mission-based food brand Misfit Foods launched in 2014 with the goal of using “ugly” produce to make new, tasty foods via a line of signature juices. This year the company moved that mission to the meat counter, shuttering its juice business and launching new blended vegetable and meat sausages. The brand is seeking to fill consumer demand for more veggie-forward options and reduce meat consumption via transparent, sustainable sourcing. It’s a means of achieving a similar goal (reducing meat intake) to those going after the plant-based meat alternative category, but a method Misfit feels has a better chance of resonating with the average American shopper.
