While cauliflower and chickpeas have risen in popularity as a base for plant-based products, Bolthouse Farms put the spotlight on another ingredient -- carrots -- with its Wunderoots line launched this fall. The line will enter retailers in 2021 and is the company’s first real attempt to create a branded product offering around its hero ingredient, the humble carrot.
A few meat-free hot dogs have hit the market, but none bring the instant fun of the Carrot Dog, offered in Classic American-Style, Chorizo-Style and Sweet Italian-Style. Its Carrot Fettuccine and Riced Carrot also add a boost of beta carotene to classic meals, paired with flavorful sauces to spice up these low-carb meal solutions.
