Banza Pizza

The frozen pizza category has been full of innovation in recent years as brands look to cater to plant-based consumers. This year, Banza aimed to get a piece of the pie, demonstrating the versatility of the chickpea and competing with cauliflower-based options from brands like Caulipower and Cali’flour with its chickpea-based pizzas. 

The pizzas, which marked the plant-based pasta brand’s first move into the freezer aisle, offer more protein and fiber, as well as fewer net carbs and sodium, than its wheat-based and cauliflower-based competitors, in classic pizza flavors like Margherita and Four Cheese.
