Ocean Spray, A Dozen Cousins, Olipop Execs to Speak at Virtually Live

We’re going to test momentum — both sales and skateboard — with a pair of discussions during BevNET and NOSH’s Virtually Live event on June 22 and 23.

This exclusive online event will be available to BevNET and NOSH Insiders. It will be livestreamed from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., with open networking following our content presentations. You must register to access the live content and networking.

First, we’ll hear from Monisha Dabek, the new Chief Commercial Officer and General Manager of Ocean Spray. Dabek, who has helped grow and scale innovation at WhiteWave, Danone, and PepsiCo. Dabek is tasked with keeping the venerable cranberry cooperative top-of-mind for consumers following its surprising social media bonanza, one created when a TikTok video of a skateboarder drinking an Ocean Spray product became one of the most widely viewed — and imitated — memes of the winter, one that drew a whole crop of younger consumers to the brand. Dabek will talk about how brands can stay focused and communicate as unplanned attention lifts their fortunes, and zeroes in on the best ways for entrepreneurs to capitalize on their own innovations, from scaling them to helping teams avoid paralysis as they grow.

Next, a pair of entrepreneurs whose sales thrived online during the COVID-19 pandemic will share their plans for getting ready to pound the pavement once again. After firing up both direct-to-consumer and online retailer platforms over the past 15 months, what are some of the major concerns for growing brands like Olipop and A Dozen Cousins as stores re-open and channel strategy becomes a more important part of the sales mix? We’ll be speaking with A Dozen Cousins founder and CEO Ibraheem Basir and Olipop co-founder David Lester on an issue that’s puzzling many founders and teams at growing food and beverage companies: where to focus their resources when more than one set of tactics is proving successful. Basir and Lester will also stick around after their panel discussion to join the networking and take questions from the audience.

These talks are part of an agenda that also includes Todd Carmichael of La Colombe, Kaumil Gajrawala of Credit Suisse and Kellogg’s executives Monica McGurk and Nigel Hughes. Make sure to block out your schedule — and to make sure you’ve got Insider status for yourself and your whole team by signing up. Prior registration is required to access the virtual event venue.

Limited sponsorship opportunities are still available for companies looking to maximize exposure at the upcoming event.
