8 Notable New Coffee & Tea Releases

In this fall-themed roundup of new coffee and tea releases, Death Wish Coffee Co. and Partners celebrate the holiday season early, La Colombe partners with the ACLU and Bruvi branches into coffee pods.

La Colombe

Philadelphia-based specialty coffee company La Colombe partnered with the ACLU to launch its Lyon blend. The new blend is a medium roast that features flavor notes of caramel, toffee and brownie. The 12 oz. box features artwork by Austin-based illustrator Abbey Lossing. La Colombe Lyon is available online and in-store for $15. A portion of proceeds of from each box will be donated to the ACLU.

Numi Organic Tea

Numi Organic Tea unveiled its new 3-SKU Roasted Japanese Green Tea Line. The line consists of Organic Hojicha, Organic Kukicha and Organic Yuzu Bancha. Numi’s Organic Roasted Japanese Green Tea line is now available online and at select retailers, such as Sprouts and Whole Foods, for $26.32 per 16-count variety pack.

Choice Organics

Oregon-based Choice Organics expanded its portfolio of organic teas with its newest product line, Bloom & Brew Puerh. Available in three varieties – Smooth Roast, Bright Roast and Spice Roast – the tea is enhanced with a touch of coffee extract and a mix of roasted dandelion and chicory. All three flavors are available on Amazon for $12.87 per 48-count box.

Clevr

Clevr expanded its lineup of better-for-you lattes with its new Mocha flavor. The new offering features direct trade coffee, vanilla bean, single origin Diaspora Co. cinnamon and regeneratively-grown Ecuadorian cacao. Clevr Mocha SuperLatte is exclusively available online for $28 per 12 oz. pouch.

Bruvi

Alongside its new single-serve coffee brewer, Bruvi also launched its new line of coffee pods. The new pods feature 100% Arabica coffee and, according to the brand, contain up to 40% more coffee than a typical capsule. Bruvi B-Pods are available online for $16-$30.40 depending on the flavor.

Partners

Just in time for the holiday season, Partners relaunched its Miracle on North 6th Street Blend. Now featuring glittery gold and green packaging, the blend contains a blend of coffees from Africa and Central America with flavor notes of orange, honey and cranberry. Partners Miracle Blend is available for $20.95 per 12 oz. whole bean bag.

Stella Blue

Dan Katz, co-host of sports podcast Pardon My Take, has entered the coffee category with the launch of Stella Blue. Available in three blends – Positive Vibes (light roast), Big Cat Blend (medium roast) and Electric Avenue Dark Roast – the coffee beans are sustainably and ethically-sourced from Rainforest Alliance certified growers. All three blends are now available in 12 oz. whole bean or ground bags as well as single-serve pods.

Death Wish Coffee Co.

As winter draws nearer, Death Wish Coffee Co. announced the relaunch of its Gingerdead Coffee. The seasonal blend features medium roasted robusta and arabica beans infused with a mix of liquid ginger, allspice and nutmeg. Death Wish Coffee Co. Gingerdead is available online for $19.99 per 12 oz. bag.
