Gallery: Meals Made Easy at Summer Fancy Food Show
Brands are making the case for consumers to toss the takeout menus, offering a variety of easy frozen, refrigerated and shelf-stable meal options. While some brands put their twist on classics such as pasta, chili and tacos, others got more innovative with products like Swiss hand-held potatoes and cauliflower-based tater tot alternatives. Take a look at some of the products showcased at the 2019 Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City.
Happi Foodi
Frozen meal brand Happi Foodi showcased a new range of microwaveable Street Tacos. Available in Carnitas, Southwestern and Al Pastor Chicken, each 6 oz. box contains two tacos.
Babeth's Feast
Flash-frozen French-inspired food brand Babeth’s Feast showed off several of its entrees including Beef Bourguignon, Coq au Vin and Eggplant & Chickpea stew, each sold in 8 oz. servings for an SRP of $8.99.
Rosti
Portland, Oregon-based brand Rosti debuted its first products: a three-item line of hand-held Crispy Filled Potatoes. The line is available in Melty Swiss Raclette, Stuffed Baked Potato and Zesty Chili Cheese with four servings per box.
BOU
BOU debuted the newest addition to its Soup Cup product line, Two-Bean Chipotle Chile, along with two gravy cube flavors, country and roasted garlic.
Maya Kaimal
Indian-inspired food brand Maya Kaimal showcased its organic Surekha Rice, ready to eat in 90 seconds, in perfectly plain and turmeric & cumin flavors.
Nolita
Nolita showcased its high protein, low-carb Cauli-bites, which are par-baked and frozen, in Buffalo and Original flavors.
Saffron Road
Globally-inspired frozen entree brand Saffron Road sampled its latest addition, Vegetable Biryani, which will be available this month at Kroger and next month at HEB for an SRP of $4.99.
Sauces N Love
Sauces N Love debuted the latest addition to its selection of refrigerated pasta and sauces, Cauliflower Gnocchi, in classic, broccoli, kale and basil varieties.
Beetnik
Beetnik, maker of organic frozen ready-made meals, sauces and meat products, sampled its gluten-free grass fed beef meatballs and new organic chicken meatballs.
Neilly's Foods
New frozen rice balls from global cuisine brand Neilly’s Foods were introduced in three flavors: Zesty Rice Balls with beans, Yellow Rice Balls (Arancini) and Spanish Rice Balls (Spicy).
