Energy Bar Foods is currently searching for a V.P. of Operations to start immediately. This role will report directly to the Energy Bar Foods C.E.O.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identify opportunities for improvement; Review, analyze and evaluate business procedures; Implement policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations. Oversee manufacturing department ensuring the reaching of goals set by company leadership.
Plans, directs, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and cost of sales to achieve financial objectives. Formulate & implement manufacturing programs, plans, and processes. Focus on quality, strategies and development of the annual manufacturing plan and budget. Develop business unit strategy and participate in the development of corporate strategy. Strong ability to build company a great company culture, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure the business runs smoothly by guiding management teams accordingly.
Ideally, 5-10 years food manufacturing business experience with demonstrated leadership qualities. Background in plant startups will be helpful. Experience in relevant manufacturing and continuous improvement principles. Strategic mind-set with quality decision making, while balancing risk. Standard and Cost Accounting knowledge; Efficiency expert; Familiar with Labor rates, yield loss and procurement. Ability to create a highly collaborative and inclusive environment for the team. Previous Continuous Improvement experience. Previous experience leading a diverse team of professionals required. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in English required. Strong skills in financial, scheduling, and materials planning is a must. Fully adept with Microsoft Office suite including deep MS Excel knowledge, required. A positive attitude, willingness to learn and teach, and an ability to adapt in a heavy change environment preferred. Must be able to work extended hours as needed, Work Environment: Manufacturing work and office environment.
