Senior Director of National Sales
The Senior Director of National Sales (SDNS) will drive the next phase of growth for Maxine’s Heavenly, expanding sales in all channels, with an emphasis on leading east coast retail expansion efforts. This individual must be comfortable working in a high-growth and dynamic environment that requires adaptability, creative thinking, and the enjoyment of opportunistic challenges. This role will work directly with the CEO and may, at times, report to the Board of Directors on key metrics and initiatives outlined as growth priorities.
The SDNS will manage the internal sales team, as well as the system of sales brokers and merchandisers. In our new “Post-Covid” world, this position will be expected to think outside of the standard practices of retail sales and will be expected to have a creative eye toward non-traditional sales opportunities and strategies.
The right candidate will have had experience in a directorial level sales role in a previous food and/or beverage business, preferably in natural foods. This person will have expertise in: broker management, merchandising strategies, distributor relationships, sales finance, sales strategy, tradespend management, and sales & marketing strategies. A strong preference will be given to candidates with east coast natural/specialty/conventional sales experience. The SDNS should be comfortable working interdepartmentally, especially with our Director of Marketing.
This role will provide tremendous opportunity for growth within the organization. Candidates should be excited to "build" and not simply be looking to inherit an established infrastructure. A good mix of scrappiness and structured execution required.
