Senior National Account Manager

Fort Point Beer Company

Fort Point Beer Company is seeking a National Account expert to join our team. In this role you will manage relationships with our largest customers: Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Safeway, Costco and similarly sized multi-location retailers throughout California and beyond. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic craft beer fans, fully versed in National Account Management, and understand the tools of the trade such as selling cycles, merchandising, and promotional opportunities that go along with working with these large retailers. You will work directly with the company founders & senior leadership team to help grow our sales through these retailers, including launching new beers and working with our marketing team to coordinate brand building efforts. You must have a high attention to detail, the ability to build and maintain relationships, and ability to translate syndicated data such as IRI and Nielsen into well formed selling strategies and compelling, on-brand presentations. 

This is a work from home position, but candidates will frequently be required to attend in-person meetings and events in San Francisco and throughout California.

  •  $100,000 - $120,000 (including 10% variable sales bonus)

Primary Skills (Required)

  • Five plus years of working within the National Account ecosystem & managing multi location national retailers (preferably within Beer or equivalent)

  • Analytics skills: the ability to translate syndicated (IRI / Nielsen) and sales (VIP) data into easy to digest visuals and take-aways

  • Project Management: the ability to build go-to-market plans for new product launches within your managed accounts, including sales forecasting & field execution

  • Communication & Presentation skills: ability to create and deliver persuasive, on-brand materials internally and externally 

  • Quick learner with ability to complete duties independently with minimal supervision

  • Positive, can-do attitude: Able to work effectively with teammates at all different levels of the company

  • Brand & Marketplace Management: understanding of product segmentation & pricing strategies

  • Excel / GSheet expert 

  • CRM Management

  • Understanding of California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) rules and regulations


  • San Francisco with Work From Home, we have adopted a permanent work from home policy, but your daily / weekly presence in San Francisco will be necessary for onsite meetings.

  • Some travel may be requested to markets outside of the San Francisco area as part of this role.
