We are now private equity backed and are using our new resources to build a team of talented and dedicated individuals to seize the exciting opportunity in front of us.

We are seeking candidates based in Houston for this remote field sales position. The territory includes management of the entire Southeast Texas Market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive distributor implementation of sales programming and brand building initiatives
    • Effectively manage mutually agreed to goals with the distributor as it relates to depletions, distribution, account, and target account management
    • Actively develop and manage relationships with distributor personnel including managers and sales reps
    • Conduct work withs, once allowed, in key metros, including product and brand education
    • Ensure flawless execution of National Account on-premise mandates
  • Call on and activate in target accounts in the market under the direction of the Regional Sales Director
  • Develop relationships with, sell in products, and develop account-specific sell-through programming in targeted independent retail accounts (15% off-premise focus) and regional on-premise accounts, including groups or chains (85% on-premise focus)
  • Ensure execution against all national account mandates, developing sell-through programming on a collaborative basis, and providing staff training and support
  • Expectation is to be in the field calling on accounts to sell in distribution, menus, displays in the ON/OFF-premise channels 4-5 days/week
  • Ensure POS and other marketing assets are tracked and effectively utilized
  • Spend time surveying the market each week/month using CRM Karma software, ensuring distribution, menu placements, highball cocktails, pricing, POS, programs, and ads are executed to brand standard
  • Liaison with trade marketing and brand to ensure key accounts are supported
  • Routinely review and provide market insights on Q Mixers sales reporting data (iDIG/VIP/Karma), distributor provided sales data--identifying growth opportunities, underperforming accounts or potential loss of distribution within an account
  • Routinely utilizes Q Mixers-provided tools, including KARMA CRM software, iPad sales presentations, brand, product, and usage education 
  • Routinely communicate/report market performance, distributor execution, competitive activity, key account activity to Regional Sales Director


Ideal Background:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the beverage alcohol or non-alcoholic industry, preferably with solid experience in the on-premise channel
  • Presently has working relationships with distributors and key on-premise (hotels, bars, restaurants, night clubs) decision makers in assigned markets
  • Strong knowledge of the retail environment preferred
  • Ability to function effectively in a relationship driven, entrepreneurial business environment
  • Objective-oriented, focused, individual who needs little direction or supervision; energy, enthusiasm, and being proactive are critical
  • Willing to be very “hands-on” to get the job accomplished and adaptable to change on the go
  • Must be well organized and have the ability to plan daily/weekly sales plan and execute tasks with limited supervision and administrative support
  • Ability to develop advantaged relationships with the distributor as well as key ON/OFF-premise accounts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and iDIG/VIP (reporting, presentations, correspondence), with polished communication, sales and presentation skills essential
  • Ability to coach/train/motivate/Influence
  • Position may require occasional overnight travel, and night/weekend events in the market
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
  • Must be legal to work in the US
  • Must have a valid US driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to be used for work purposes
