Located in Temecula, Garage Brewing Co. features an extensive variety of craft beer for guests to enjoy premises or to take home. In addition, we serve chicken wings and a variety of fried appetizers.

 

General Description

This dynamic position plays a critical role within this exciting and growing company. We have the opportunity to redefine the visitor experience and turn our taproom into a key craft beer consumer destination. The Role

This role will own the front and back of the house operations, from staff schedule, hiring and training, as well as being a leader who mentors and teaches others. This position will be responsible to develop high performing staff and sales driving techniques for a hospitality environment. The best candidate for this position will know how to maintain high staff morale while ensuring staff is scheduled and trained to give guests the best possible experience. Calm under fire, organized, detail oriented with a passion for service.

 

Primary Duties

  • Maintain a welcoming, friendly, educational, exciting, and inviting experience in a craft brewery
  • Set high standards for customer service, employee relations, cleanliness, sanitation and professional appearance
  • Excellent people skills; able to project a friendly and helpful manner at all times
  • Generate a friendly atmosphere by encouraging employees to greet and speak to customers
  • Manage tasting room team members effectively, schedule staffing needs efficiently
  • Maintain a team leader as well as a team player attitude with staff and owner
  • Maintain a clean, safe, healthy and sustainable tasting room environment for guests and staff
  • Meet and exceed tasting room financial objectives as they relate to overall brewery goals
  • POS use and troubleshooting
  • Proper cleaning and maintaining of bar and tasting room
  • Coordinate beer releases and staff education
  • Merchandise selection participation and inventory management, forecasting and ordering

     

    Required Skills & Experience

  • COVID-19 vacination required prior to starting
  • 3 years as a hospitality management professional, preferably as a restaurant/bar/tasting room manager
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Demonstrate ability to build and maintain relationships with employees, guests and vendors
  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated
  • Prior experience developing, hiring and building up a team
  • Knowledge of opening a new outlet or service location preferred
  • Proven experience in recruiting and hiring productive, team-based staff members
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • High level of craft beer product knowledge

     

    Preferred Skill and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Hospitality or related experience
  • Know exactly how to pour a proper pint of beer
  • Experience with scheduling staff
  • Completing and retaining a Service Staff and LEAD certification
  • Understanding and abiding by local ABC requirements

     

    Physical Demands

  • Must be able to wear N95 mask for full shift, until government mask mandate is no longer required
  • Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly
  • Stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties
  • Must be able to frequently reach above and below shoulders to stock shelves
  • Must be able to use a step ladder
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 0-50lbs, use dolly to push or pull up to 165lb keg of beer with associate

  • Salaried (exempt position)
  • Based on prior experience
  • Vacation time, sick pay, medical
  • Bonus based on percentage of profits
