Area Sales Manager
SPIKE Energy, the leading hardcore energy brand, is seeking an Area Sales Manager in the greater Des Moines area.
SPIKE seeks outgoing, dynamic sales professionals to help grow the brand’s presence within the market area. As an Area Sales Manager, you will meet with SPIKE’s select retail partners within your market, visiting stores on a provided route list, and sell in SPIKE products to these stores. You will be interacting with store owners by learning a unique product ordering system, completing general merchandising and product placement. You will also be sampling the product to staff and consumer’s through giveaways and in-store demonstrations. You may be asked to travel outside of your market area when necessary. This is an independent contractor job, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. You must have a reliable vehicle with storage space, mileage reimbursed. *Must also be comfortable driving a van.
- Maintain the SPIKE brand appearance and wear proper uniform
- Build positive working relationships with store owner’s/staff in your market area
- Learn select retail partner’s ordering system
- Complete general merchandising, including restocking and product placement
- Setup in-store displays for product demonstrations/sampling events
- Educate and engage consumers, promoting brand awareness
- Distribute SPIKE gear as required to consumers to build brand loyalty
- Be punctual and reliable with strong interpersonal communication skills
- Conduct self in an upbeat, professional, and courteous manner
- Record suggestions and comments from management and customers
- Post progress on team group messaging app (Slack) showing accountability
- Take direction and feedback from management team
- May be required to travel when necessary
- Must be 21 or older
- Valid driver’s license and insurance with clean driving record.
- Reliable vehicle required. Mileage reimbursed.
- High school graduate, College preferred.
- Smart phone required
- Beverage experience preferable, but not required.
