Mercenary Canning Solutions is looking for a full-time mobile canning line operator to join our team.
MCS is a mobile canning operation based in San Luis Obispo, CA. We service breweries, wineries, distillers and cider makers throughout California. We’re looking for a lead operator to join our team in San Luis Obispo County. The canning line operator will be responsible for leading the charge in operating the line with the help of a canning line assistant.
We are willing to train the right person for this position, no need for specific canning line operation experience, but experience in production, operations, bottling, etc is highly desired.
The right candidate will be someone who wants to learn, work hard and be a part of a growing company with lots of potential for growth. In this position, you will learn a lot and you will get to see a lot of great facilities and work with some top notch craft producers throughout California.
Operate state of the art Codi counter pressure canning line
Administer stringent CIP protocols
Follow hourly QC procedures to satisfy highest quality standards
Act as the lead customer contact on day-of-service
Work with client and canning assistant to problem solve when needed
Dive in to help in all areas of the canning operation - i.e. building boxes, packing off, splitting pallets, etc.
Drive truck and trailer to and from client site and warehouse
Be ready to take the lead in any miscellaneous tasks that are needed to complete the job and satisfy our clients
Experience in beverage production, packaging or operations is strongly preferredGreat attention to detail while working long hours
High School Diploma or equivalent
Tenacity to get the job done
Willingness to work hard, have a good attitude and service our clients to the highest of industry standards
A desire to learn
Must be 21 years of age
Hours, Compensation and Travel:
This position will be paid by the hour
Hourly wage is $20-$28/hour DOE
This position will require frequent overtime, travel and overnight stays
