ABOUT THE JOB:
Freeland Spirits Marketing Manager will oversee and execute all brand and marketing operations, including social media, website, online presence management, e-commerce partnerships, and promotional tools. The ideal candidate has digital marketing and brand management experience, is detail-oriented, can exercise judgement and work independently, and above all can embody the voice and brand identity of Freeland Spirits. This position reports directly to the CEO but works very closely with the Hospitality Manager, Projects Coordinator, Events Coordinator, Tasting Room staff and Production staff.
Develop, lead, and execute Freeland Spirit’s marketing strategy and budget; align resources and priorities consistent with the overall business and growth strategy
Develop and execute against our e-commerce strategy including performance marketing, demand generation, analytics, and partnership programs
Oversee and optimize website
Daily social media management, including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, creating content, driving engagement, and measuring success
Monitor trends and opportunities on all social platforms and identify opportunities to expand and improve digital communications
Build and distribute e-newsletters to mailing list
Work closely with contract designer on brand creative elements (i.e. labels, social media graphics, promotional materials and other projects)
Partner with national retailers to design shelf talkers, digital assets, and other promotional tools
Support on-site and off-site events including festivals and farmers markets
Budget, plan, and execute advertising campaigns
Support media relations with PR firm, including press releases and management of interviews and media presence
Work closely with staff to ensure alignment with brand standards
21 years old or older
Marketing, Communications, Brand Management experience required
Degree in Marketing, Communications preferred
Excellent understanding of how to promote a brand in a crowded market
Experience with marketing distilled spirits preferred
Experience in Adobe Illustrator and/or InDesign preferred
Experience with digital marketing / e-commerce / social media
Excellent leadership skills with the proven ability to be forward-thinking and market-driven
Not afraid to get down and dirty and jump in and help our small team with any project
Strong problem-solving skills, thorough attention to detail and a drive to take initiative
Fervent work ethic and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to changing situations
