What You Will Do 

  • Maintain, recognize and expand distribution in both new and existing accounts 
  • Travel throughout the territory and visit customers on a recurring basis 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through the entire sales cycle, including developing new leads, educating about the brand and product offerings, and turning prospective accounts into long term customers 
  • Efficiently plan and execute assigned projects within the territory, ensuring decisions align with company objectives
  • Develop and implement strategies for achieving and exceeding set sales metrics  
  • Conduct strategic field sales tactics by cultivating relationships with store managers and buyers. This includes but is not limited to: securing additional product displays, expanding product facings, expanding brand blocks, filling distribution gaps, optimizing product placement, and increasing awareness of new products 
    • Creatively win and build secondary placements/off-shelf merchandising at the store level in fitness and grocery retailers
    • Help represent DEFY at various tradeshows and marketing events

    You are a results-driven, self-motivated, and sales-minded professional who enjoys cultivating relationships with other leaders. You are a go-getter, who’s excited to join a high-growth company and enjoy being in the field. You are passionate about health and fitness, entrepreneurial, and competitive. 

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years experience in a sales role with a growing company
    • Currently employed in a sales or field marketing role
    • Experience in beverage, or health and fitness a plus
    • Willing to work unconventional hours (e.g., late nights, weekends)
    • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, tech-savvy
    • The ability to work independently and take initiative without everyday instruction
    • At least 21 years old
    • A valid driver’s license and a car for daily travel to accounts
    • US Military veteran status is a plus
    • Competitive – former high-level athlete a plus
    • Social butterfly - you love people and they love you
