Both of our brands are a part of the ‘better for you’ alcoholic beverage category and are made from 100% fresh pressed juice, locally sourced herbs, teas and adaptogens. Our products contain zero sugar, are vegan and keto friendly, and have one of the lowest calorie counts of any in the alcohol realm.

101 Cider House is the original “adults only” juice bar. We work with local farms to produce raw juice, using only fresh source verified ingredients. Our juice is pressed in small batches, then fermented and aged for 3 months to produce a naturally alcoholic and certified probiotic beverage.

Job Description

We are looking for motivated folks who share our passion for better-for-you alcoholic beverages, and who have the ability to succeed in a sales role. The role of Territory Manager will be fulfilled within the East Bay area of San Francisco, and will be responsible for development, execution and success of 101 Cider House and Pulp Culture throughout all channels of the trade.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages all accounts in assigned territory (off-premise, on-premise, and chains)

  • Participates with Sales team colleagues in overall sales strategy and execution for sale of all brands and products

  • Looks at territory with entrepreneurial eyes and seeks out new opportunities to increase sales

  • Establishes selling objectives and executes key asks with buyers

  • Maximizes sales at current accounts using key marketing resources and retail execution at store level

  • Establishes and maximizes brand presence in all selling opportunities

  • Opens new accounts in line with brand directives

  • Calls on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders via remote communication channels and by travelling throughout assigned territory

  • Establishes and cultivates rapport with store/restaurant managers, wine/beer department buyers/managers, and other pertinent personnel

  • Keeps employees at accounts engaged, educated, and excited to carry our products

  • Utilizes CRM to track orders, record interactions with buyers, and optimize daily schedule

  • Keeps thorough and up to date notes on all existing and target accounts

  • Ensures accurate billing and prompt delivery to customer

  • Investigates and resolves delivery issues

  • Merchandises product at shelf, to include stocking product

  • Maximizes POS exposure in each account

  • Sets up and participates in promotions, tastings and special events

  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts

  • Meets performance metrics and strives to exceed sales goals

  • Upholds the brand integrity, always

Job Requirements

  • Must reside in the East Bay area of San Francisco

  • Must have a minimum of 1 year in sales

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred

  • Must have craft beverage industry experience (cider/beer/kombucha/seltzer is preferred)

  • Possesses working knowledge of the craft beverage industry

  • Knowledge of chain accounts and restaurant buyers, buying and promotional practices, and operational procedures

  • Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written

  • Strong organizational skills for managing hundreds of accounts

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player who can work well with or without supervision

  • Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and respond quickly to demanding situations

  • This position requires the availability to work flexible hours and weekends when necessary for special events

  • Must be at least 21 years of age; possess a current driver’s license; maintain current auto insurance coverage

  • Must be able to comfortably lift 40lbs

  • Requires walking, standing, and driving  

  • Requires frequent bending, stooping, pulling, and pushing

Schedule and Compensation

McTavish Brands offers a competitive salary and bonus structure commensurate with experience. This position typically requires a Monday to Friday schedule, but often necessitates some work being performed on nights and weekends. All work-related mileage is reimbursed.
