The Director of Supply Chain will work cross-functionally to manage the movement of inventory throughout the supply chain from purchase order to delivery. This will include the initial ordering of raw material, coordinating with manufacturers, scheduling shipments to vendors, coordinating the release of product in retail, and working with sales and marketing to ensure the product is ready for purchase. Our ideal candidate is a proactive, analytical problem solver, who is detail-oriented, organized, and works well autonomously and in a team environment. This role reports directly to the COO. 


  • Oversee and manage the company's overall supply chain and logistics operations in  order to maximize efficiencies and productivity

  • Responsible for updating the S&OP demand plan monthly and weekly

  • Ensure Materials Coordinator is placing production orders for finished goods based on your recommendations

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor finished good supply via daily and weekly planning through the DEAR System ERP tool to meet customer requirements 

  • Work closely with vendors and manufacturing partners to manage raw material balances, blanket contracts and production schedules

  • Quarterly visits to select, farms, packaging vendors, and third party warehouses to foster relationships and ensure the Serenity Kids gold standard of quality is maintained

  • Collaborate with executive team to drive margin and process improvements system-wide

  • Collaborate with, sales/marketing, and the new product development team to develop new product forecasts and launch schedules

  • Direct ownership of DEAR Systems ERP inventory system to maintain inventory, orders, PO’s, etc

  • Oversee Materials Coordinator role with key logistic partner for all inbound materials and outbound finished goods

  • Monitor the schedule and coordinate with Materials Coordinator on the release of product for retailers and ecommerce launches

  • Ensure product safety and quality assurance standards that are set by our Quality Assurance team are upheld

  • Understand and analyze key business drivers (market share, product data, inventory requirements, competitive activity) to drive improvement in forecasting process 

  • Drive appropriate levels of inventory through utilization of supply chain planning parameters such as production frequency, lead times, capacity, safety stock, and related planning horizons 

  • Responsible for generating KPI’s and business performance reports (e.g. WOS, on-time delivery, fill rate) that highlight relevant business trends pertaining to key operational functions

  • 5+ years of supply chain/consumer packaged goods experience required

  • 5+ years of experience in forecasting and planning required

  • Previous management experience required to build and manage the team

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office suite of products - must be proficient in Excel

  • Previous startup experience strongly desired

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

  • Outstanding quantitative skills, including experience with statistical forecast management 

  • Experience with DEAR Inventory system - plus

  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to work and communicate effectively cross-functionally 

with multiple groups 

  • Results-driven and adaptable 

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities and decision-making skills 

  • Ability to travel at least 25%
