Position Description:

As the Southern Oregon Brewery Representative your job is to grow and manage sales at the account level in both the on and off premise throughout the footprint of both Bigfoot Beverage and Summit Beverage. This includes securing new distribution in accounts as well as maintaining existing ones, building incredible relationships with owners and buyers, and working closely with the distributor representatives to maintain and develop accounts. The candidate must reside in the Eugene area but be able to travel throughout the state of OR. Travel would include anywhere Bigfoot or Summit distributes to including, but not limited to, Eugene, Springfield, Bend, Roseburg, Coos Bay, Brookings, Newport, Medford, Grants Pass, Ashland, Klamath Falls.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working with accounts and sales reps at our distributors in Oregon including Bigfoot Beverage and Summit Beverage
  • Pursue new on & off-premise distribution through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with account staff, buyers, and owners. The same goes for distributor sales personnel; Develop and implement strategies for sales in an assigned region or industry.
  • Call on existing off and on-premise accounts to secure new distribution and maintain current business
    • Execute on and off -premise events that generate brand awareness and additional business
    • Applies knowledge of the field to ensure the product matches the needs of the account.
    • Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large
    • Is responsive to concerns of quality and quick to find solutions
    • Be aware of POs, follow through with distributor reps on account level commitments, and ensure allocations are set
    • Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to Sales Manager.
  • Participate in crew drives, distributor rep Work Withs, and any other sales/team building activities as needed
  • Travel to company for sales meetings/training at the brewery; Work with other members of the Ecliptic team as needed
  • Work with Sales Manager and distributor partners to execute and achieve sales goals
  • Complete necessary administrative reporting and communications on a timely basis
    • Must become (or be) well versed in VIP and Karma applications with the ability to use them to identify and increase sales opportunities
  •  Adhere to all budgets outlined to you and your territory
  • Adhere to Employee vehicle policy
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
  • Acquire OLCC license within 45 days of the start date
  • Valid Driver License with a good driving record
  • This position is subject to certain pre-employment screenings and background checks
  • A car with the ability to use it for work for up to the first 6 months of employment
  • Cicerone Certified Beer Server within 90 days of hire
  • Experience with VIP/Karma a plus
  • Willingness to regularly work during evenings and weekends and more than 40 hours per week
  • Ability to travel often; Travel requirements can vary from month to month, flexibility is a must
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to be proactive and take initiative
  • Excellent organizational skills; detail oriented & able to manage priorities and routine functions effectively and efficiently
  • Strong persuasion skills but with the ability to listen
  • Strong communication skills: ability to talk to others to convey information effectively; strong written communication skills

Job Requirements

  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairs
  • Able to regularly lift/carry 50 pounds
  • Able to work in indoor and outdoor environment with sometimes slippery floors
  • Able to work in varying degrees of temperatures that is typical for a retail food industry
  • Floor surface may vary from hard tiled floor or concrete to carpet
  • Ability to tolerate a high-level work pace that is typical for a retail food industry
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud
  • Able to work 6-8 hours on your feet
