New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) is New Zealand's international business development agency.We are a hands-on, collaborative and deeply commercially team, working with some of New Zealand's most forward-thinking and innovative companies.

What you'll be doing:

Our team works with approximately 50 New Zealand businesses in the health and wellness category, with brands ranging from supplements and personal care, to clean beauty and beyond. As the number of companies we work with is growing, we are expanding our U.S.team.

You will be helping founders/ senior executives develop and execute their U.S. business growth plans. You will help them understand and navigate the nuances of the U.S. market, identify potential in-market partners and opportunities, and develop and grow new channels. You will do this by drawing on your own experience, knowledge and networks, and collaborating with NZTE colleagues and specialist advisers.

A superb relationship manager and team player, you will be part of a global organisation with a proven track record in helping New Zealand companies succeed in the U.S and internationally.

What you’ll need to be successful:

You will have a solid understanding of the U.S.health and wellness landscape and the commercial smarts to manage a varied portfolio of approx. 30 amazing companies, ranging from start-ups to corporates.

You will know how to help a company enter the U.S. market and succeed by helping them maximise the resources and capabilities they have.This includes experience in supply chain and logistics,to the retail landscape.Knowledge of e-Comm platforms coupled with digital marketing is a must.

You will have the capability, networks and dynamism to support your companies across both brick and mortar and online,and occasionally B2B/ manufacturing channels. This means a willingness to learn and build networks from the ground up where you have gaps.

Superior communication skills are critical, as is the ability to build credibility and trust quickly and a willingness to 'roll your sleeves up'and do whatever is required to set your clients on a course for success.Your enthusiastic, 'can-do' attitude, proactive nature, creative problem-solving skills and ability to work in virtual teams will be critical to your success.
