Three Trees is looking for an exceptional individual who will play a critical role in the company’s success. The Sales Associate will support Sales Leadership in all aspects of Sales. S/he will be responsible for owning and interpreting multiple streams of internal and external data to assess historical performance, and develop detailed forward-looking sales forecasts. In addition to Sales analytics, you will also play an active role in supporting a wide variety of Sales activities ranging from prospecting and winning new accounts to Account Management. You will prioritize your time to affect the most high impact areas, working with and inspiring Distributor partners, Retailers, and Consumers.
Sales Analytics and Forecasting
Maintain complex data sets to manage and present weekly key retailer performance dashboards (KPIs)
Maintain SPINS database and present monthly deep dive category performance reviews
Working with Sales, build and maintain a dynamic Sales forecasting tool that drives production planning and budgeting decisions
New Business Prospecting and Outreach
Maintain and update CRM database/tool (Close CRM)
Conduct store-level distribution void phone calls
Prospect and cold-call prospective new accounts
Take the initiative to identify areas of opportunity for growing distribution and drive new sales
Customer Relationship and Account Management
Support the execution of distributor and retailer trade and promotional plans
Work with Sales Leadership to create quarterly retailer business review materials and presentations
Conduct ROI analysis on Marketing initiatives
Support new account and new item set up activities
Take the initiative to identify areas of opportunity and drive volume in existing channels and accounts
Strategic Sales Planning, Promotional Plan Development and Execution
Help develop and execute the strategic Sales plan, including the roadmap to achieve an ambitious sales goal. Prioritize channels, accounts, geographies and laying down solid foundation for long-term growth
Help develop promotional plans that will drive trial, conversion, and sales growth
Help set and manage Sales budget, including Trade and Marketing spend
Manage shipment of samples and sales collateral
Process turnover and other distributor requests
Support Trade show logistics and Show selling activities
Manage promotion scheduling paperwork
Capabilities & Qualifications Required
Deeply passionate about better for you food categories, the Three Trees brand and our mission
Ability to work autonomously in a startup environment; you can run with something from beginning to end
People person! Awesome interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills; comfortable representing our Brand and able to build relationships with distributor and retailer partners
Business-savviness and practical, good judgment. Works well with ambiguity – can navigate in the grey and asks the right questions to get at the solution
Highly analytical with the ability to organize large volumes of data, glean insight, and form actionable recommendations to drive sales. Can analyze opportunities quickly and have an ability to execute company goals efficiently
Resourcefulness to improvise and adapt to deal with daily challenges via creative problem-solving
Strong planning, organization and project management skills. The ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously
Experience at small CPG company a plus
Experience with data software a plus (e.g., Microsoft Access, SPINS database, Retailer and Distributor sales portals)
Occasional travel (when safe to do so)
