An Engineering Manager is sought by a small to medium sized, innovative and successful, technology-based company in Santa Rosa, California. We have about 40 employees around the world (with several overseas operations), and usually enjoy leadership in our chosen beverage technology fields. Our ideal candidate is a somewhat special type of person. He or she will offer not just conventional engineering skills but also possess the versatility and personal qualities essential to the following: readiness to assume primary responsibility of fully supporting Director of Operations in assuring smooth plant operation; ability and eagerness to assume greater managerial responsibility as our company grows; ability to be a creative full member of a dynamic R&D group working closely with operations; ability to seek constant process refinement and development; unhesitating readiness to bring a personal hands-on approach as necessary to assist in mechanical and electrical problem solving; the sound business sense and good business judgment to interface with major clients at senior level; willingness to undertake periodically extensive overseas travel; and above all the ability to fit naturally into a close-knit, collaborative and friendly management team whose culture does not welcome politicians or prima donnas. This key post is important enough to report directly to the CEO.
