National Account Executive – Foodservice

Based in San Antonio, Texas, Twang Partners is a family-owned and operated manufacturer of premium-flavored salts, sugars and seasonings. Twang products can be found on grocery, convenience, liquor and specialty store shelves across the country.

We are looking for an experienced, disciplined, results-driven sales professional with a proven track record of success.  Reporting to the National Sales Director, the National Account Executive develops, manages and coordinates new business across targeted Foodservice channels.

Targeted channels include quality multi-unit restaurants/cafes, hotels & resorts, upscale entertainment venues, business and industry foodservice accounts, colleges & universities and hospitals/healthcare.

This position covers accounts on a local, regional and national basis.  This position is located in San Antonio, TX.


Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by being involved through top-level contact at current and potential new customers.

Research, identify and prioritize targeted account opportunities by strategic channel & geography and develop a robust new business pipeline.

Prospect and qualify new business opportunities from the pipeline and other sources of leads.

Develop and present dynamic, conceptual sales presentations and proposals (both verbal and written) to key decision-makers

Successfully close new business to aid the team in achieving aggressive sales and profit targets.

Work collaboratively with the Operations team to ensure the onboarding of new accounts occurs smoothly and successfully.

Provide training, instruction and mentoring of direct reports and make “joint calls” with them regularly.

Maintain account records to include information on order patterns, contact person(s), pricing, and profitability objectives to help manage pipeline and communicate customer needs

Participate in industry events and trade associations such as NRA, etc. Leverage participation in these groups and events to drive strategic relationships and to generate leads.

Other responsibilities as assigned by the National Sales Director.



Bachelor’s degree preferred

7+ years related foodservice sales experience with a proven track record of ability to target and close new accounts

5 + years of Foodservice and distributor account sales and management experience at a national level

Broad & Deep relationships with Key restaurants chains and healthcare and Industrial customers; Select Top 250 Chain accounts and Key Regional Chain accounts

Knowledge of broad-line distributors such as Sysco and US Foods

Knowledge of foodservice operators such as Compass, Sodexo and Aramark

Consultative and persuasive selling skills

Strategic business planning and customer management experience

Analytical skills to identify business opportunities and to manage existing customers

Excellent written and oral communication skills with both internal team and external customers and service partners

The ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve the delivery of division and personal goals

Proven competence in operational performance (time management, action orientation, results-driven)

Strong Word, PowerPoint, and Excel computer skills.

Willingness to travel regularly locally and nationally
