Every day, more and more people are working out like elite athletes in CrossFit gyms, boot camps, and yoga studios across the country. But they don’t have much time to spend on recovery, and they’re too busy to walk around tired and dehydrated. That’s why O2 has developed the best, most convenient on-the-go recovery drink available based on the scientific needs and taste preferences of this group. We’re searching for a driven, hardworking leader to join our team of athletes, weekend warriors, and health nuts. We’re veterans, entrepreneurs, and coaches united by a quest to help people recover with the best recovery drinks on the planet. And we need a hardworking, fun, and motivated sales leader who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty to add fuel to the fire we’ve started. 

What You Will Do: 

As a Fitness Channel Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading a team to execute a proven sales plan in the field with emphasis on the alternative fitness channel (e.g., CrossFit gyms, boot camps, yoga studios) and existing grocery retailers like Sprouts, Whole Foods and Kroger in 8 states (OH, PA, GA, VA, TX, TN, AZ, CA). Over 50% of your time will be in the field or traveling. You’ll be doing the hard work of leading a team and building a brand from the ground up, and you’ll get invaluable experience growing a company while reporting directly to the CEO. 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to meet or exceed sales goals each month across our largest, most profitable channel of wholesale fitness 
  • Build and lead a team of A-players in 8 target markets to execute against your plan and goals with regular check-ins 
  • Set the pace for team and ensure best practices and sales activities are being followed 
  • Lead weekly company-wide team meetings focused on the fitness channel, monitor results against goals, and adjust accordingly to ensure goals are met on a monthly basis 
  • Sell and manage to revenue and promotional trade spend budget 
  • Sample O2 regularly to existing and potential fitness accounts to gym members and staff to develop relationships, sales, and an understanding of ongoing changes in the market 
  • Work with Territory Sales Managers and other O2 team members to build plans to support key retailers and merchandising teams 
  • Actively identify and exhibit at trade shows, customer shows, and large-scale fitness events in target markets 
  • Develop and execute programs to increase visibility of O2 on shelf at fitness and grocery retailers, reduce out of stocks, and increase velocity 
  • Creatively win and build secondary placements / off shelf merchandising at the store level in fitness and grocery retailers 
  • Build relationships in the fitness and grocery channels at the store and regional levels 
  • Develop field sales playbooks with O2 leadership team for key target markets 
  • Run through walls and do whatever it takes to get the job done

Who You Are: 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the food and beverage industry 
  • Currently employed in a sales role 
  • US Military veteran status is a plus 
  • Willing to work unconventional hours (e.g., late nights, weekends) 
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs 
  • Ability to lift 40lbs and more 
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative without everyday instruction 
  • Competitive - probably former high level and/or college athlete with a current fitness addiction
