Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary:

This position will help develop the organizations financial and operational strategy, drive improved performance and contribute to the development of the company’s strategic goals.  This role will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing all accounting and finance functions of the business. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills, creative problem solving and critical thinking in order to succeed in our fast-paced, highly dynamic environment. 

  • In partnership with the CEO, establish short- and long-term financial goals, including sales, operating income and cash flow targets
  • Provide strategic guidance and analysis to drive company growth, profitability, cashflow, and business objectives
  • Assist in setting and managing KPIs for each department
  • Monitor and analyze monthly financial statement performance against budget
  • Manage cash flow, identify potential needs and develop solutions
  • Streamline monthly close process and reporting
  • Refine processes and Standard Operating Procedures 
  • Manage the finance/accounting team and set a culture of excellence
  • Partner with sales, operations and marketing to develop and ensure availability of timely and accurate financial information for strategic decision making
  • Manage and ensure compliance with tax, audit, legal, permits and other financial regulations (e.g. sales/use tax, property tax, employee benefits, payroll taxes, various insurance, employee benefits, etc)
  • Help manage relationships with partners and vendors
  • Delegate responsibilities to ensure staff members grow as capable participants
  • Assess and implement improved processes and new technologies, in collaboration with management
