Brasserie Saint James is a production brewery located at the base of the Sierra Nevadas housed in a 100 year old farmhouse. We utilize natural Sierra Nevada spring water situated below the building for the production of our beer. Brasserie specializes in Belgian styles which has earned us several awards including best midsized brewery of the year. The taproom is on-premise locate within a top tier restaurant.
We are looking for a Head Brewer who is familiar with the Belgian & German style as well as honoring our core brands. Knowledge of barrel aging is essential as well for we have an offsite barrel aging program. However we encourage our Head Brewers to exercise his/her creativity with other styles including IPA’s, Brut Beers, International Lagers, Stouts and so on...
Organization and cleanliness are essential, while understanding all brewery systems is a must. Knowledge of state laws and distribution chains may need to be attained once on board but ramp up must be quick in this area.
The Head Brewer will be assigned an assistant who will not only allow faster production but enable the Head Brewer to engage in the Reno/Tahoe region by selling beer, integrating with guests and getting involved in festivals. In short we not only need a great Head Brewer but an affable brand ambassador as well.
This is a full-time position and we are one of the top paying breweries in the market. Ownership is looking for someone who wants to place their stamp on a brewery and take it to the next level.
