Located in Seattle Washington, Skinny Dipped was founded by a mom and daughter and her two best friends after realizing that nothing is more important than time spent with the ones you love. Starting out of their Seattle kitchen, the four women created Skinny Dipped: thinly dipped chocolate almonds that are exceptionally good-for-you and ridiculously delicious. As Director of Marketing you will lead brand development, marketing services, digital strategy and help execute 360° marketing programs designed to drive trial, awareness, sales and repeat purchase. Generate consumer and industry buzz around SkinnyDipped’s authentic story as creators of the best tasting, good-for-you snacking experience on the planet The ideal candidate has a collaborative, entrepreneurial spirit, a positive ‘let’s get it done!’ attitude, a solid marketing track record and a true love of the brand. She or he relishes the challenge of creating order from chaos. Strong execution skills and the ability to communicate with confidence and clarity while being kind and approachable is a must.
Develop and optimize marketing strategies to reach and foster a passionate connection with health conscious snackers and lovers of good food. Design and execute programs fueled by strong consumer insights and fresh ideas which can be communicated through a range of media and vehicles, including field activations, sampling events, social media and digital, and influencer partnerships to support online and retail sales. Work in collaboration with founders on creative, including original brand storytelling, messaging and content true to brand vision and mission. Help manage PR and external agency programs; ensure that brand voice and positioning is consistent across all consumer channels; mentor the marketing team to grow impact and improve every stage of the consumer journey.
Develop decks, manage project timelines, including new product launches, and serve as liaison to founders, sales, and agency resources to ensure marketing materials, point of sale, and packaging are developed on time and on-brand; lead consumer insights with custom and syndicated research and track efficacy and ROI of marketing activities.
Implement digital marketing campaigns to drive online and offline sales, devise email marketing tactics to attract, retain and grow online sales; manage digital partnerships. Work in conjunction with founders and Digital Marketing Manager to develop and execute a social media strategy designed to generate awareness and build a loyal, engaged following with fresh, authentic content and compelling brand storytelling.
Deliver P&L results including budgeting and managing marketing costs associated with growing the business; track efficacy and ROI of marketing initiatives and analyze performance against forecasts using sales data.
Education and Experience
- BA/BS Required, MBA preferred
- Experience managing a P&L, strong knowledge of finance and building annual business plans.
- Skilled at project management. The ability to set deadlines and hold others accountable for their deliverables.
- Experience working cross functionally and the ability to collaborate with others
- Brand management experience, preferably both small-company and mid-to-large company background.
- Experience working on related product categories including natural/organic snacks, and related categories
