Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Regional Account Manager(RAM) is responsible for executing pricing, marketing and lead selling for their region. Collaborating with wholesalers, Division Managers and Area Managers on pricing and programming to achieve volume and distribution goals is a key component of the position as is working with Trade Development leads and Off Premise Territory Managers to drive KPIs across all selling channels (Chain Grocery and Independent Liquor Outlets). This role also entails lead selling to a specific collection of accounts efforts to grow the overall regional business. All job functions are under the direction of the National Sales Director.

As a Regional Account Manager, one is responsible for, however not limited to:

  • Lead and inspire FitVine Field Sales and wholesaler network to prioritize and attain monthly and annual goals for FitVine’s Portfolio
  • Be the subject matter expert for FitVine’s Portfolio in specified geography, sharing knowledge with FitVine Account reps and wholesaler network of the following brand specific information: viticulture and enology practices used, marketing program elements, pricing and sales fundamentals, brand positioning and brand equity expectations
  • Develop and manage relationships with key wholesaler management (General Sales Managers, Brand Managers, Area Managers, Trade Development Managers) adding value to their business and share of mind to FitVine’s portfolio
  • Work with Trade Development teams at both FitVine and wholesalers to ensure new item distribution and sales planner inclusion for FitVine Portfolio
  • Collaborate with FitVine Marketing Department to ensure that marketing plans are effective and executable and own the communication of those plans to the FitVine Field Sales and wholesalers in the defined geographical region
  • Sales leadership calling on regional chain accounts to drive programming and distribution of the FitVine portfolio

Other Responsibilities:

  • Introduce creative sales execution concepts, share across state lines/regions, and aspire to be a thought leader in best practices within the region
  • Schedule and lead effective distributor sales meetings including: planning meetings, programming recaps, general sales meetings
  • Develop relationships with key buyers in the market across all classes of trade
  • Run and analyze data reports including syndicated data (Nielsen), IDig and wholesaler generated reports
  • Initiate, develop and execute localized Trade Marketing programs utilizing FitVine’s Marketing Department resources
  • Collaborate with Area Managers and Division Managers on the following for FitVine’s Portfolio:
    • Development and implementation of Annual Operating Plan which includes: financial objectives, volume (shipments and depletions) objectives and distributor volume and distribution objectives for each market
    • Management of annual volume and distribution goals for all trade channels
    • Focus month brand planning and goal management
    • Quarterly Business Reviews
    • Monthly Estimate/Annual Estimate tracking as part of the wholesaler scorecarding process
    • Other miscellaneous reporting/tracking requests from management
    • Ensure all sales practices are compliant with state and company policies

  • 7+ years sales experience in the alcoholic beverage industry with knowledge and passion for both commercial and premium wines preferred
  • BA degree or equivalent experience & proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have strong understanding and working knowledge of alcoholic beverage industry retail environment
  • Must be adaptive to change within organization and industry
  • Results oriented, innovation focused, strong problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work and succeed in dynamic entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to travel with overnight stays as needed
  • Display integrity, character and strong leadership skills
  • Support and model all company procedures and policies
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Must have an excellent safety, work performance and attendance record
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Prioritize while able to adapt to changing priorities
  • You must be able to lift a minimum of 40 LB if needed
  • Demonstrates reliability and punctuality, work effectively in team environment, adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures

Compensation: Competitive salary plus quarterly bonus with annual review
