Job description:
The Key Account Manager could be located in California, USA or Montréal, Canada and must be willing to travel across USA, as needed. The main responsibilities will be: 

  • Generate growth and profitability in key accounts
  • Develop and manage regional and national chains and brokers
  • Develop and maintain collaborative long-term relationships with chain account buyers
  • Work with distributor partners to identify opportunities and grow market share
  • Track, analyze and report on sales, pricing, promotional performance and for category review
  • Negotiate product placement to obtain optimal positioning
  • Deliver added value and persuasive sales presentations to increase sales
  • Work closely with sales team to ensure excellence in execution
  • Drive innovative promotions and marketing that can be utilized at the retail level

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and negotiation (Food & Beverage industry, an asset)
  • University or College Degree in Administration, Business or a related field
  • Proven track record in managing National Accounts
  • Strong selling, negotiation and motivational skills
  • Creativity and ability to think outside of the box
  • Risk and ambiguity tolerance
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to put together persuasive sales stories
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point
  • Positive Attitude, High level of Energy and Passionate
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean record and a valid passport
