FruitSmart

GENERAL DESCRIPTION Sales Manager’s (SM) role entails developing and implementing sales activities to maintain and grow existing business. Those activities include, but not limited to, finding new business/markets, enhancing current customer business/service, collaborating with other FruitSmart departments, preparing sales summaries/data, visiting customers and trade shows and growing the FruitSmart brand recognition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a sales strategy to achieve organizational sales goals and revenue
  • Conduct market research to determine and implement plans for expanded business to new customers/markets
  • Enhance current service and product variety to existing customer base
  • Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives
  • Generate timely sales reports/summaries/data
  • Assist in the development of sales presentations and proposals
  • Visit customers and attend trade shows
  • Maintain positive relationship with existing customers and build relationships with new customers
  • Manage a balance between company policy and customer benefit in decision making; handling issues in the best interest of both customer and company
  • Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience
  • Collect and analyze competitor data to distinguish sales opportunities

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent, additional education preferred
  • 3-5 years of industry related experience, preferred in ingredient sales
  • Well versed in MS Office programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word)
