Award-winning distilled spirits company is seeking a Head Distiller to manage all distillation and formulation activities at its distillery on Kauai.
Duties and responsibilities include leading the Distilling Team in fermentation management, distillation (pot and column), product formulation (batch building), proofing, lab testing, blending, barrel aging, sanitation and maintaining adequate inventory of input supplies and ingredients.
A Bachelor’s Degree (such as Wine and Viticulture, Brewing Science, Food Science, Chemistry, or Biology) is preferred, although consideration will be given for experience in and mastery of all aspects of distilled spirits production.
The ability to safely climb ladders and lift 55 pounds is required.
